The Richmond Jazz Festival at Maymont is designed for a mature audience. Any minors attending the festival must be accompanied by an adult.
Yes. You are welcome to bring your own food and beverages to the Jazz Festival. However, outside alcoholic beverages, including wine and spirits are strictly prohibited. Also, no glass containers are permitted. Coolers and picnic baskets will be subject to search upon entry.
As an outdoor event, seating will not be provided. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs and/or blankets.
You may purchase tickets by visiting the "Tickets" page of this site. Also, tickets will also be available on the days of the event at the gate.
Yes, one-day passes will be available for sale at the main gate located at Maymont's Hampton Street entrance. The Richmond Jazz Festival provides complimentary shuttle bus service that drops off at this entrance on a continuous basis throughout the festival. Please note that weekend passes are sold in advance of the event only.
Maymont will be open to festival attendees ONLY on August 10th and August 11th. The Hampton Street gate serves as the main entrance to the Richmond Jazz Festival and only ticket holders will be admitted.
Yes. Festival attendees have full access to the beautiful landscape and gardens of Maymont. Self-guided tours are encouraged!
Children 2 years of age and younger will be admitted free of charge. Children 3 years of age and older will require a ticket for entry.
The festival does not have designated handicapped parking, however our GRTC shuttles are handicapped accessible. Our GRTC shuttles transport guests between Maymont and our designated parking areas:

The festival will have golf carts accessible to assist with transporting guests in-between stages and to and from the park entrance. Also, all Maymont sidewalks and roads are smooth and freshly paved.

No. Cooking (gas grills, charcoal grills, hibachi grills, fondue fountains, open flames, etc.) on the grounds is strictly prohibited.
No. Pets are not permitted into Maymont.
Yes. When you leave Maymont during the event, you will be given a re-entry hand stamp. You are able to re-enter Maymont provided that you have the proper re-entry hand stamp.
No. Audio and video recording of performances is prohibited.
No. Photographs and recordings of any kind (i.e. camera, video recorder, etc.,) are prohibited.
No. Umbrellas are NOT allowed.
